What is a O-1, O-2, O-3 Visa?
The O-1 nonimmigrant visa is for individuals with exceptional skill in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics, or who have an established record of great performance in the motion picture or television sector that has been recognized nationally or internationally.
The O-2 Visa is for Individuals who will accompany an O-1 artist or athlete to help with a specific event or performance and the O-3 Visa which includes spouses and children of O-1 and O-2 visa holders
What to bring to the O-2 Visa Interview?
To the visa interview, the applicant must provide all relevant original or certified copy civil documents.
Failure to present all needed documents to the interview may result in the visa being delayed or denied.
The following documents must be brought to the interview:
Letter of Appointment – The letter of appointment you received from NVC for your interview;
Photographs – two similar color photographs for each applicant,
which must fulfill the standard Photograph Requirements;
Passport – each applicant must have an unexpired passport valid for six months beyond the expected date of entrance into the United States;
Confirmation Page DS-260 and Original or certified copies of any civil documents you uploaded to CEAC as supporting documents.
Can I extend my stay while on O-2 visa?
On an O-2 visa, you can ask for a stay extension.
Extensions of up to one year may be granted to continue or complete the same event or activity for which you were admitted to the United States, plus an extra ten days to allow you to settle your personal affairs.
The required documents for the O-3 Visa are:
Your valid passport,
a photograph,
the Form DS-160 confirmation page,
proof of paid fees,
interview confirmation letter,
the O-1 or O-2 visa holder’s Form I-797,
the O-1 or O-2 visa holder’s copy of passport,
Proof of your relationship with the O-1 or O-2 visa holder;
If you are the spouse, then you need a valid marriage certificate and for children, you must submit a valid birth certificate.
How much does the O-3 Visa cost?
The fee for applying for an O-3 visa is $190.
To continue with your application and have it processed further, you must pay this fee and show the proof at your Visa interview at the consulate/embassy.

Can I extend my O-1 visa?
Fortunately, if you have a valid reason, you can extend your O-1 visa.
If you require an extension of your O-1 visa, you must ask for it through the petitioner.
They must demonstrate that the project will continue after the three years you were given (or the period which it was granted for).
Who is eligible for the O-1A Visa?
Extraordinary talent is determined in the same way for O-1A purposes as it is for EB-1A purposes (sciences, athletics, and business).
Either the individual must show a one-time feat worthy of an Olympic Medal or a Nobel Prize, or they must some of the following criteria: Receiving lesser-known national and international accolades or awards for outstanding achievement in a particular subject;
Membership in professional organizations that require members to have exceptional achievements as determined by experts in the subject; Publications about the individual in professional or significant trade publications, as well as appearances/publications about the individual in other prominent media, etc!
